Ibiyemi Ifaturoti
Ibiyemi Ifaturoti is a Management Consultant and co-founder of LePhare Consultants, an organisation set up to address the workplace competencies gap – i.e., the gap between Employers’ expectations and Employees’ actual performance.
Ibiyemi has worked extensively with State education ministries, school owners, development agencies and non-profits on capacity-building projects in both private and Government-owned schools in Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Edo and Imo States.
She is a Mentor in LEAP Africa’s iLEAD Mentorship programme, as well as a Business/Life Coach to MSME owners. She is on the Board of Trustees of MAYEIN, foremost non-profit working to advance young people’s development and future readiness. Her passion is helping young people get unto trajectories of successful lives.
Before venturing into private consultancy in 2009, she held key positions in the following MNCs and corporate organisations, Private Networks Nigeria Ltd. 2007 to 2009 (Chief HR Officer), Anchor Telecoms Ltd.: 2007 (Executive Director), Helios Towers Nigeria Ltd.: 2006 (Head of Department, Business Development & Support), MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd.: 2001 to 2006 (Regional Technical Manager - Ibadan Region, Project Manager - Lagos/South West and PA to the CEO), Elf Oil Nigeria Ltd.: 1995 to 2001 (Personal Assistant to the Managing Director).
Ibiyemi’s early career was in Structural Engineering, Administration, Human Capital Development and Finance in Hancock, Ogundiya & Partners, SCOA Nigeria Ltd., West African Seasoning Co. Ltd. and WSTC Financial Services Ltd, respectively.
She has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos, 1984, an MBA from the University of Lagos, 1988, a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Pan Atlantic University (EDC). She is certified British Council Core Skills Trainer (Connecting Classrooms®), and has a PGCEI from the University of Nottingham.
